SEC works with a wide variety of families, children, schools, and other professionals to help children succeed to the best of their ability.SEC is your resource when it is known or suspected that a child has a special need, or when interventions such as tutoring or learning support are not working. SEC assists children with one or more of the following challenges: |

Performance below the academic expectations for their age |
|
Social difficulties – no friends, little interaction with others, poor communication |
|
Emotional problems or disruptive behaviors that interfere with learning |
|
Trouble paying attention or organizing their work |
|
Noticeable communication or speech problems or delays |
|
Difficulty understanding information or expressing their thoughts |
|
Poor coordination or who appear to be very “clumsy” compared to their peers
|
|
We also work with children who may have been identified with some of the following conditions: |

Learning disabilities resulting in a child performing significantly behind their expected grade level (learning disabilities cover a huge range of conditions, too lengthy to list here)

Developmental delays
