Rodney Aho, PhD

Dr. Rodney Aho has over 20 years of experience in special education from the United States and several years of international experience as an educational psychologist.  Rodney has taught special education classes, founded and ran group homes, performed hundreds of educational-psychological assessments, and worked with thousands of children and families.  Rodney is particularly skilled at helping parents understand the needs of their children. 

Rodney performs several roles at SEC.  Overall, he is responsible for the quality of therapeutic services in our clinic and daily programs.  He leads our interdisciplinary team of specialists and works closely with our principal to maintain high quality services.  In addition, he is our educational psychologist, performing a large number of ed-psych assessments each year.  Rodney was also one of the founders of SEC in 2006.

Rodney has a PhD in international counseling psychology, a Master of Science degree in Psychology, and a Master of Arts degree in Education.  He has lived in Shanghai since 2004.
