 •  Review assessments, history,      past records

 Step 2: Review Current Services

 • Gain a clear understanding of the     types of services that your child is     currently receiving.
 • Review IEPs from current and     previous years

 Step 3: Understand Parents’  Expectations

 • Gain a clear understanding of     what parents expect and hope     to find in Shanghai.
 • In depth discussion with     parents

 Step 4: Make Recommendations   

 • Compare available resources to     needs, current services, and     expectations, showing where     there is overlap or gaps
 • Provide written recommendations     to family.

All information discussed with you is kept in absolute confidence unless you give us written permission to discuss or share the information.

The Relocation Consulting Process is the first step to help you make an informed decision about relocation to Shanghai and to better understand your options.  As an additional service, you can also contract with SEC to contact various international schools on your behalf to make inquiries or advocate for your child.

Please note that we only advocate for children when the three following conditions are met:

You have given us written permission.
We believe that your child can be successful at an international school.
We have permission to share all relevant information.
