Motor Assessments address areas such as visual perceptive skills, in-depth gait analysis, gross and fine motor development, aerobic endurance, in-depth balance, gross locomotion and movement patterns, neuro-motor development, sensory integration, posture, and ergonomics in a classroom or home environment. The assessment is performed using a number of formal and informal tools depending on the presenting information.  Included in an assessment will be observations and interactions with the child, informal discussions with family and teachers, standardized assessment tests, review of previous records, and other tools as needed.

At SEC, our assessments are conducted certified Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapists with appropriate certification.  All assessments performed by Special Education Consulting, Shanghai follow the typical standards expected in the U.S.
