The Initial Meeting is the best way for us to thoroughly understand your concerns and determine the best course of action.  The Initial Meeting takes place in our office and allows us to meet with the parents and child, to review any previous reports or assessments, and review the child’s medical, developmental, and educational history.  The Initial Meeting typically takes one to two hours to gain a solid understanding of your concerns and have in-depth discussion about next steps.

An Observation usually takes place in the child’s classroom and allows us to talk with teachers and the parents.  A short report of the observation is written, including initial recommendations, and is reviewed with the parent.  This is an ideal way to gain initial insight into the challenges faced by the child in his classroom setting.
