Andrew Hill
Director, Founder

Andy has been in China since 1989 and is active in business and community affairs.  Andy first heard about SEC at the idea stage and ever since has devoted time to helping it get started and expand its services.  He is especially skilled at working with Chinese authorities and government agencies.  In addition to SEC, Andy has helped start a number of organizations including Botian, a Chinese software company with over 600 employees and 15 branches throughout China, the Shanghai-Minnesota Club, which fosters business and government relations between people, corporations, and organizations from Minnesota and China, and the Rotary Club of Shanghai, which promotes civic responsibility among business leaders.  Andy is also helping start our non-profit, charitable activities to benefit local Chinese families and special educators.

So much of the work in our programs inspires me, brightens me, and delights me that I do not know how to put it in a short statement. During my time in China, I have had many opportunities for career building, but very few chances to directly give something back to the Chinese community. I believe these programs will enrich the experience of foreigners in China and be a feather in the cap of China’s future.
